If your prospects are telling you that your caller ID is showing up as coming from another country or is only showing the area code, there's a simple reason why. Whether you're using Regional ID or just using a standard Caller ID, this is almost always a minor formatting error in either the Caller ID or Return Number.
Caller ID and Return Number both need to be formatted in the same way: with a 1 in front and with no punctuation or special characters:
Without formatting in this way, a 916 Caller ID could display as coming from India (Country Code +91).
Punctuation in the Return Number can cause Regional ID to display a local area code to the prospect without a full phone number - definitely not the effect you're looking for! Removing the punctuation and making sure to put the 1 in front of the Return Number will clear up any issues you have there.
